More appointments!

After reviewing the amount of appointments we offer and recruiting two new Advanced Nurse Practitioners, St Peters Surgery are now offering more appointment availability per week. To find out more, feel free to attend our next Patient Participation Group in March.

We now have a SMS messaging service for patient appointment reminders.  If you wish to receive messages please contact the reception with an up to date mobile number.  alternatively you can download the smart app to your phone Mjog Messenger for health and fitness.  If you wish to opt out then please inform a member of the reception team. 

Please note you will be offered an option as part of the reminder to cancel your appointment by texting back the word Cancel.  This is an automated service so please ensure you type only the word CANCEL for this service to work.

WASTED APPOINTMENTS

Patients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments they have made are being sent warning letters. Patients who continue to waste appointments after a warning may be removed from the patient list.

 

TELEPHONE ACCESS

We are continuing with our drive to improve telephone access.  To reduce the demand on the telephone patients can use the "Online" Services detailed on this website.

When the surgery is closed there will be a recorded message giving clear instructions on how to contact the “Out of Hours” Service or, if the surgery is closed for training during normal hours, how to contact a doctor.  For “Out of Hours” Service - Telephone 111

Home Visits

Home visits should only be requested when you are too ill to attend the surgery. Please attend the surgery for a consultation whenever possible. Should a visit be necessary please ring the surgery before 11.30am as this helps the doctors to plan their rounds, only urgent requests should be made after this time

If you are unable to attend your appointment at St. Peter's Surgery, please give 24 hours notice by telephone or by using the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

  • functionality inserted into the website via iframes by the user may not achieve accessibility guidelines

Audio Captions

YouTube fails to show audio descriptions as default. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description).

The information is from third party software and added via an iframe on to our site. There is a setting option to turn on audio description via the video.

How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 16th September 2020. The test was carried out by My Surgery Website. We tested the site using the Chrome extension application WAVE. The website also went under manual testing.
